These limited-time rewards are easy to earn – you just need to link your accounts and tune in. Don’t miss out on adding some unique flair to your character!
What Are Diablo IV Twitch Drops?
Think of Twitch Drops as a thank you gift from Blizzard and streamers. When you link your Battle.net account to your Twitch account and watch eligible Diablo IV streams, you earn progress towards free in-game items like weapon skins or armor looks. It’s a simple way to get exclusive gear just by enjoying gameplay streams.
How to Claim Your Freebies
Earning your drops is straightforward, but there are a couple of key steps to follow to make sure you get your rewards in the game.
Link Your Accounts
First things first, you need to make sure your Battle.net and Twitch accounts are connected. This is how Blizzard knows you’ve earned a drop while watching on Twitch. If you haven’t done this before, head to your Battle.net connections page and link Twitch. It only takes a minute!
Watch Eligible Streams
Once linked, simply watch any streamer playing Diablo IV who has “drops enabled”. Look for channels in the Diablo IV category on Twitch with the “Drops Enabled” tag. You’ll see your progress build up as you watch. You don’t have to watch the same channel the whole time; you can switch between any eligible streams without losing your progress. However, watching multiple streams simultaneously doesn’t speed up the progress. Make sure the stream isn’t muted or in a background tab, as Twitch needs active viewing to count.
Claim Your Reward on Twitch
Here’s a crucial step: The item doesn’t just appear in your game automatically. You must claim it on Twitch! You can do this either directly on the stream channel you’re watching or through your Twitch Drops Inventory page. Once claimed, it will appear in your Diablo IV account. Make sure you claim the drop within 7 days of earning it; otherwise, it will expire if your Battle.net account isn’t linked.
First Drop: The Rogue’s Glensoul Arbalest
The very first drop available for Season 9 is the Glensoul Arbalest weapon cosmetic, specifically for the Rogue class. This gives your Rogue’s crossbow a cool, unique look.

Availability: This particular drop starts on July 1st at 10 a.m. PDT and runs until July 19th at 10 a.m. PDT. You’ll need to watch a total of 3 hours of eligible Diablo IV streams during this period to earn it.
Quick Look at Eligibility & Details
- Do I need Diablo IV or Vessel of Hatred? Nope! You don’t need to own the game or the upcoming expansion to earn or claim the drops.
- What devices work? You can earn drops watching on PC/Mac web browsers or the Twitch app on Android/iOS. Console/Smart TV apps and other TV apps do not support drops.
- What about streamers? If you’re a streamer who wants to offer drops, just make sure your Battle.net and Twitch accounts are linked and you’re opted into Drops via your Twitch settings.
