What is HANGRY™?
Imagine you’re a hungry beast of a mercenary with an insatiable appetite, tasked with collecting rare ingredients for a cosmic underworld diner. That’s the wild premise of HANGRY™. You’ll journey through incredibly stylized worlds – think forests that smell like barbecue or caves made of candy – battling bizarre and powerful monsters across the galaxy.
But here’s the delicious twist: to get stronger, you don’t just defeat these creatures. You can literally devour them on the spot or take their parts back to cook them into over 100 different recipes in a dedicated mini-game. Eating and cooking are your main ways to upgrade Hangry’s stats, unlock new weapons, and evolve your powers.
It blends elements of roguelikes (offering replayability and progression) with action RPGs, featuring fast and fluid third-person combat powered by the Unreal Engine, which means slick visuals and smooth performance. A key ability is “Hangry Mode,” letting you temporarily transform into a larger, more powerful version of yourself to tackle epic foes. The game also features a full story with voice acting, a deep skill tree, and multiple difficulty options, all currently available in its Early Access build on Steam.
