Konami Press Start 2025: Metal Gear, Silent Hill, and More Games Revealed

Konami just wrapped up its Press Start 2025 showcase, pulling back the curtain on a surprising lineup of upcoming games. While some companies revealed their hands at Summer Game Fest, Konami waited until now to show what players can look forward to in the coming year and beyond. Get ready for new takes on classic series and some unexpected new titles!

Here’s a quick rundown of the biggest reveals from the event: a new multiplayer mode for the highly anticipated Metal Gear Solid remake, updates on the spooky Silent Hill series, and a look at several other interesting projects.

Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater Gets Stealthy Multiplayer

Kicking off the show was the highly anticipated METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER remaster. With its release just two months away on August 28, Konami dropped a major surprise: a brand-new online multiplayer experience called “Fox Hunt.” While it shares the world of Snake Eater, this mode promises a different kind of gameplay centered around the series’ signature stealth mechanics. It’s described as a unique take on multiplayer, focusing on outsmarting opponents with cunning and stealth rather than just firepower.

On top of the new multiplayer, Konami also confirmed the return of fan-favorite bonus content from the original PS2 game, like the quirky “Snake vs. Monkey” missions. It seems developer Virtuos is really aiming to pack this remaster with value.

Diving into Darwin’s Paradox

Next up was the debut title from ZDT Studios, and it’s quite a unique one: Darwin’s Paradox, a stealth game where you play as an octopus! You take on the role of Darwin, an octopus who gets kidnapped from his peaceful ocean home and thrust into a bizarre world controlled by a sinister corporation called UFOOD INC. It’s up to you, using Darwin’s eight versatile arms and natural camouflage, to uncover their plot for world domination. This looks like a fresh and intriguing take on the stealth genre.

If you’re curious about controlling a stealthy mollusk, Darwin’s Paradox! is available to wishlist on Steam right now.

Silent Hill News: New Location and a Brand New Remake

The presentation wrapped up with some major news for horror fans waiting for updates on the Silent Hill series.

First, Konami provided a fresh look at Silent Hill f. This entry is a significant departure, being the first game in the series set outside of Silent Hill itself, relocating the terror to Japan. With its release set for September 25, 2025, the brief look hinted at the chilling inspiration behind the new location and the theme of “Finding the Beauty in Terror.”

But the horror news didn’t stop there. At the very end of the showcase, Konami revealed that another Silent Hill Remake is now in development. This new project is being handled by Bloober Team, the same studio that developed the well-received Silent Hill 2 Remake. Aside from the announcement and confirmation of the developer, details are scarce right now. It seems Bloober Team isn’t done exploring the foggy, unsettling world of Silent Hill.
